Motul – MOTYLGEAR 75W-80 1L

Description

Motul Motylgear 75W80 is Technosynthese® synthetic oil. A very high quality semi-synthetic by European standards designed to provide smoother shifting in gearboxes that would typically be hard to shift with a 75W90 gear oil. Commonly required in smaller front/all wheel drive gearboxes due to the smaller size of synchro selector rings. Sometimes asked for in larger rear wheel drive gearboxes for improved fuel economy. Compatible with any type of seal and yellow metal material used in gearboxes.

Stays in xW80 viscosity grade after KRL 20 hours shear test. A very severe test where poor quality oils thin out and don’t recover.

Drivers appreciate the smooth shift feel without compromise to mechanical protection.

Caution: Motylgear 75W80 is designed for light to moderate duty use and is not suitable for high performance applications.

Use GearFF LSD 75W90 for all Front Wheel Drive high performance applications.

For all Rear Wheel Drive performance applications, use Gear300 75W90 or Gear300 LS 75W90.

For all IFS, IRS, Live axle differentials, use Gear300 75W90 or Gear300 LS 75W90 for high performance. Use Gear Competition 75W140 for extreme performance.

Standards & Approvals: API GL4, API GL5

The API standards for gear oils (GLx) relate to an oils ability to resist extreme pressure/shear load and do not relate to compatibility with soft metals and materials used in and on synchroniser rings.
