Level 7 Performance – HF-550 Universal Catch Can Breather

Description

The Level 7 Performance Catch Can Breather offers a universal venting solution for demanding motorsports applications. It’s versatile design allows it to be used in a number of different configurations including open-loop (Vent to Atmosphere) and closed loop (Vent to Engine) and it’s internal media and baffling effectively captures oil. Topside there are dual -10AN ORB provisions allowing for many standard fitting options and an oversized outlet with cleanable mesh screen. Bottom side there is an additional -10AN ORB provision which can be used as a baffled inlet or as a drain. Dual bracket mounting positions, a dipstick and a modular expandable housing are just some of the additional features.

Description

It’s What’s on the Inside That Counts

The internals of the HF-550 catch can are designed to effectively capture oil particles with the use of mechanical features including a cleanable stainless media. Servicing the unit is as simple as removing the top by hand and can be done without the need for removing the can from its mounting bracket.

Heavy Duty Bracket Mounting

Not only is the HF-550 bracket 360 degree clockable with the turn of a screw, but it can be mounted in a high or low position so you can dial in the placement perfectly. When removing the bracket a special screw stored in the base can be used at the clamping position to force the bracket open making it easier to move it to the upper or lower position.

Easily Go Between Open-Loop and Closed-Loop Operation

For closed loop operation a vacuum outlet adapter is available which turns the outlet into a -10AN fitting. Our optional 10AN banjo style fittings not only provide great flow but will allow for maximum flexibility when routing hoses, especially where clearance may be an issue.

To make servicing even easier the standard -10AN ORB hex plug can be replaced with a quarter turn quick drain. Keep a hose attached to the NPT nipple to make it hassle free, or switch it out for a flare fitting to use it as another inlet/outlet.
